severe allergies

If you asked me a week ago if I was allergic to anything, I would tell you flat out I am not. I have changed my tune after days of being miserable from sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, and itchy and runny nose. I have never been this miserable in my life. I thought I just had the case of the colds which happens when the temperature changes but when the cold meds did not work, the husband told me to try antihistamine. I felt instant relief then. For a few hours, that is. The symptoms get worse when I am outside. I have wondered what caused it but the husband said he knows, the trees. We have plenty of sugar maple trees in the yard and they are right now starting to come alive. I have read about them online and sure enough the tree is listed as cause for pollen allergies. I normally do not take medications for anything because I am afraid my stomach will suffer from it but I have no other choice if I want to feel better enough to function. I have religiously been taking antihistamine during the day while minimizing my treks on the yard. I do not go out unless it is important. And if I do, I wait until about noon because that is when the pollen count is supposedly less. I have never in my life believed that I could be allergic to anything but now I have proof I do. I just hope that this will go away in the next few days. The husband said it will go away, it is just a matter of when. I cannot wait for that time to happen.
