it's the thought that counts

Mother's Day came and went without me or the husband doing anything memorable. I did get a little something from him which, with his permission, gave it to my parents. A week before that special day though the little man had been greeting me happy mother's day every day. And when that day came and he remembered, he greeted me happy mother's day again then ran off. I thought that was it but he returned to me with an old ladies' watch that does not work, handed me the watch, then greeted me again. That was so sweet of him. At least he knew in his innocent mind that it was supposed to be a special day for me and so he did gave me something he thought was valuable. I have never told the husband about that incident but I will. I want to keep to myself for a while though. It makes me feel good to know that as young as he is, he knows the essence of Mother's Day. I hope he will remain to be sweet and thoughtful to me and to his father and sister as well. I am so proud of my little man.
