(not) losing weight

When I was younger, losing weight was easy. Just two months after I gave birth to the little man I was already losing so much weight (I gained a lot during that pregnancy) that I was only a hundred pounds and all my pre-pregnancy jeans fit. Fast-forward five years later, second pregnancy, also gained a lot of weight and a year after giving birth I still have some of the "baby weight" mostly in the stomach area. It is hard to lose weight anymore and I have tried everything I can think of to lose weight. At one time I was into diet pills which prompted the husband to ask are diet pills safe for you? I did not get sick nor did I have any bad symptoms while taking it so I guess it was safe. I had to stop though because it cost money and at the time we did not have extra to spend for things like that. I sure would like to lose weight but I am not going to starve myself either so I don't know how to do it. Do you have any ideas?
