stomach bug

My kids had stomach bug. The little man had it first which made him throw up for 24 hours. The day he felt better, the little girl had stomach bug as well. She threw up which made me really nervous because she is only two months old. Thankfully she seems to be feeling better now. It pained me to see my kids in pain. I felt miserable not being able to help ease their discomfort. I hope they are well and truly healed from the bug.

silver coins

The husband asked me the other day if I have seen silver coins anywhere in the house. I answered in the affirmative because I did. In fact I know where the silver coins are at because he handed them to me to keep years ago. So, yes, I know where the silver coins are at. He was relieved when I told him the coins are safe but was not happy when I told him I only have a few. He had several silver coins when I got here but I don't know what he did with them. I kept what he handed to me but the rest are gone. Either he gave some to his older kids or he lost them. He is bad at remembering things that we never really know for sure what happened to the coins that are missing. He said we better hang on to what we have because he does not think he can afford to buy silver coins again. Well, I am trying to hang on to his precious coins and I will give them to him when he decides what to do with them. If I am right, he will end up giving the coins to his kids in the future. Our kids. So I better make sure I will not lose them. They might become valuable in the future.

we need another tv

We only have one television at home. We were happy with it before because we never really watch tv that much. But we are having problems now since the little man claims everything as his own. When his father wants to watch tv he tells him to change channels which ends up in an argument with either the little man crying or his father getting upset. It upsets me too, listening to them argue. So I thought we need to buy another television set. I have been planning to anyway since before this little arguments started. Now I am really considering it more seriously. I want another flat screen television. With our television having some minor problems at start up I will not get the same brand so it will be a different brand next time. I am thinking about Sony if we can afford it. I have read about sony tv reviews and have actual testimonial from friends about how good Sony is so I will be looking at that avenue. Of course, the husband has to approve before we buy because it will have to be a family decision. When we do buy another television set it will stay in our bedroom. I miss watching tv while lying in bed. It might just be a good idea. At least if the little man will run us off our room we have the tv in the living room to watch shows when we want to.

grey's anatomy overload

For days now I have been watching Grey's Anatomy every chance I get. With two kids and a husband needing my attention it is not easy to find time but I manage. I actually managed to watch five seasons and is now halfway through the sixth. The husband calls me an addict but I told him this is my own version of watching soap operas so he better be understanding, lol. I rarely watch tv, only when I find something I like. Most of the time though I end up watching television shows online, the day after an episode is aired. It is easier for me that way. Grey's has had my attention since I read (and watched) season six's last episode. So when I found Grey's Anatomy on Netflix I went ahead and saved all available episodes to watch. And watch I did until the husband is sick of it. Or me doing it. I watched it not for the medical terms or procedures, but for the twists and turns of the lives of the characters. Soap opera, remember? I have watched most of the episodes of the current season so after season six I will have to think of something else to watch. That is after I rest for a while before the husband sends me back to Pi for neglecting him and the kids :)

family event

When my male cousin got married, the family had a big celebration. There were bridal entourage and giveaways and visitors abound that at the reception they had to use extendable dining tables instead of the regular round tables that seat four people. The tables were all covered and decorated so everything looked lovely and nice. He had the kind of wedding anybody would want to have, the kind he wanted for his wife which was sweet. Most of the relatives were able to attend. I and my family, on the other hand, were too far away so we had to look at pictures. This being absent every time there is a family event is not going to last long, the husband promised me. He said we will live in PI when he gets things settled here. I am not very excited with the idea but whatever makes him happy.

babysitting

I am stuck with four kids today. Yes, aside from two of my own, I have to babysit my sister-in-law's kids. She paid me for it which I should not have accepted but she was insistent saying she came up with money yesterday and she needed to spend it (I wish I could tell you why because it is such a crazy story) so I have to accept it. Just so the husband and her and her husband would go, I accepted the money and here I am with four kids and do not know what to do, lol. The older kids want to go outside and play but I did not let them. They must think I am a bad aunt but we live near the interstate and people drive crazy here so I would rather play it safe. I told the oldest niece to get in the computer. I don't care what she does. She can play games, watch videos (as long as it is not porn), search for online degree programs or whatever she wants to keep her occupied. The younger niece I told to play upstairs in the little man's room. Of course none of them did what I told them to do. Reading about online degree programs must not be interesting. Sigh! They are in the kitchen playing. I hope they will not sneak outside. I still have to take care of my little girl because it is her nap time and the little man is getting frustrated with his games. So, be back later.

i had a mocha frappe

For days, I craved for McDonald's mocha frappe and Captain D's fish and shrimp. I don't know why I want the particular food, I just wanted them so much it hurts. Well, as high as gas is we stay home most days getting out only to run errands and then back home again. Luckily, we had to go to the store today so I got to finally had a cup of mocha frappe. I wanted the fish and shrimp still but I did not want to spend any more money specially after coming out of the grocery store. I am not as grumpy as the days before though so I think it is an improvement. I don't know what is with me and cravings. It is hard not to give in sometimes even if I promised the husband to help save so we can work on our plans. I am hoping the food cravings will go away soon. I need to lose weight, not get fat which is what will happen if I keep on eating.

replacement bulbs

The lighting in our living room is shot again. This happens like every month and it always does it when I am the one turning the switch on that I am starting to think I am a bulb killer. Seriously. I lost count on how many times we have to buy light bulbs because of this happening. Not only here but also on other places we lived in. The husband (and my father) said it has nothing to do with me, more on how the wirings were installed and all that. How do I know? I wonder if using Hinkley lighting will make a difference? Perhaps not. I hate to have to buy light bulbs all the time though so I hope this problem will get fixed. Or if and when the husband buys a house he will make sure nothing like this is going to happen. It does not help in our plans to conserve when we have to spend so much money on replacement bulbs.

life insurance dictionary?

I just got off the phone talking to a friend who incidentally was asking if I know a really good life insurance dictionary. I did not have any idea what she was talking about nor do I know where to find it so I told her to search online. Or maybe ask an insurance agent or somebody who knows anything about the topic. I could not help her in any way other than do an online search too which she could do since she knows better what she is looking for. It seems like a lot of people are going the life insurance route. Well, I hope she finds what she wants and get what she needs so she will stop worrying. Maybe I will even help her if she still could not find what she is looking for.

somebody wants flowers

I have not received flowers in a long time. Not from the husband who claims that I enjoy getting practical gifts anyway. I do but I also would love flowers every now and then. He used to send me flowers when we were thousands of miles away. Now that we are together I hardly get flowers. He did buy me roses to plant and a pot of some flowering plant I don't know the name of, if that counts, lol. I could ask him outright to buy me flowers but it will spoil the surprise effect. I would like to be surprised like he used to do. Perhaps I can leave Proflowers coupons in his table so he will get the hint? At least that way I will not know whether he buys me flowers or not. Lol. I am pitiful, aren't I? Well, he does give me little things every now and then. Things that I want and did not tell him but for some reason he knew I wanted. Weird but sweet :)
