back in bed

It is almost noon and here I am still in bed. Don't get me wrong, I have been up to take care of the kids and do some chores. As soon as the little girl fell asleep and the little man got busy with his own thing, I grabbed my laptop and went back to bed. If I am smart I should take a nap but as you know I am not (lol) so here I am trying to finish this post while chatting with my cousins in Denmark. The husband is somewhere in the house talking to somebody in his cellphone. We all are doing our own thing and I like it. I don't know how long this is going to last without somebody yelling for me so I will enjoy it doing what I want to do. I do have a lot of things I want to do but some of those can wait until I am really ready and free. For now my priority is getting online which probably will not last long since I can hear the little girl doing her distress call. It is time to get out of my hiding place. Sigh!

it has to stop

I was told today that ordering drive-thru food has to stop. We did stop doing this for a long time but when I was pregnant I got to order what I want without being said no and now I am getting spoiled. I want to eat out all the time instead of cooking at home. It is okay if we have plenty of money but since income is limited at the moment it is not a very good move. I agree with what the husband said, we need to stop. Or I need to stop. It is time to start cooking and eating what is in the kitchen to save some money. I will miss the greasy drive-thru food but I need to help by not spending too much money. I got to enjoy it for months though so no complains here :D I started looking for recipes online so I will not have to cook the same recipe over and over again. I found some good recipes that I think are easy to follow along with advertisements on dietary supplements like creatine powder but hey website owners have to earn money too. I have one recipe that I want to try to see what will come out of it. It requires whole chicken and some spices (I may have to tweak the recipe according to my taste) that I already have in my kitchen. Hopefully the food will come out tasting good so it will not go to waste.

it smells so good

We bought ham from the store a few days ago. It is now cooking in the oven, making the house smell so good. The husband asked if I wanted a taste and I said yes if it has fat in it. I am crazy over pork meat that has a little bit of fat attached to the meat. It might not be healthy and I might require some kind of fat burner to get rid of it once it settles in me but it does not stop me from eating (and liking) it. It will be good with rice and a little bit of fried dried fish on the side. I have to check if I have enough rice left so I can eat right away when I take the ham from the oven. I am already drooling :)

a ring

A friend has a brand new engagement ring. She is already married but her husband promised he will buy her another ring which he did recently. It is a very nice diamond ring and I am happy for her. I am a little jealous too because I want another ring although I do not want another engagement ring, I just want a regular ring although I will be happy if it will be another diamond ring. Especially black diamond. Who would not want to own a Black Diamond Jewelry? The husband has said yes to another ring, in fact he told me to buy one but I am still thinking about what to get. It seems like every ring I like is expensive and I don't want to waste that much money right now. Perhaps in the future.

notting hill

I am currently watching Notting Hill. I have watched this movie years ago, when I was in college. I thought it was a good movie, all romance and all that. I still remember what the movie was about but some details are vague so when I get on Netflix and saw it I decided to watch it again. This is what I do when the little girl is asleep and the little man is busy, I watch movies online. It is entertaining and it is cheap and the best part is I don't even have to go out to rent movies. I have it on my computer and sometimes in the mail. Gotta love Netflix. By the way, this is not a review. I am just talking about how happy I am about my subscription :)

more clothes for him

I dress up the little man with semi-formal clothes yesterday for an important event I had to attend. The husband saw his son and surprised at how his son looked. He cleaned up really nice, lol. I rarely make him wear clothes that he feels uncomfortable in, only when it is required so he is not used to it but he still carries them well. He is not only for hip hop clothes he can actually wear anything and look like he does it all the time. His father told me I need to buy his son more clothes like the ones he wore yesterday. I guess he will make the little man wear them even without special occasion. But then I figured, he is a child. He can dress up anytime without anybody saying anything bad about it. And the husband is right, we need to buy his son more clothes.

had a long day

I am pooped. We have been up since three this morning and we are still up. The husband is asking me how we (the little man and I) can still be awake after being up all day. I am barely hanging on to be honest. I am so sleepy but things has to be done, kids have to be taken cared of, chores has to be finished before I can go to bed. The little man does not settle down as long as I am awake so he is still up. We will have to go to bed soon though because I really am tired and the little girl will be waking up in a couple hours. The little man has taken a short nap earlier but I need my rest or I will be looking for new acne treatment soon. I break out if I don't get enough sleep, like a teenager which is annoying. Anyway, I have to go for now. I can barely open my eyes. I need sleep really bad. Hopefully the little girl will cooperate and will give me a few hours to sleep before she wakes up. I will keep my fingers crossed :)

getting my nieces and nephews back to school

My sister and her husband picked the perfect time to take a vacation without the kids. For the two weeks my nieces and nephews had off they stuffed themselves with cookies, fudge, hot cocoa and other goodies and were then told to hehave and aunties house. I always knew my sister had it out for me and she finally won. Once I got to her house to watch the kids I was told to help them get back onto their sleep schedules and bedtime routines. Our first night together went much easier than I had anticipated. At 7pm they got their baths, followed by book reading, prayers and then lights out by 8pm. I was astonished how well this went until ten minutes later when my nephew came down to remind me to lock all the windows, doors and to set the home security alarm from www.Home-alarm-systems.com before I go to bed. I got my routine down just as quickly as the kids did and by the time my sister got home from vacation the kids were back in the school routine and I was in miss mom routine. She called me a few days later to let me know how empty the house was and so very quiet without all the rugrats terrorizing the house.

shopping

I went shopping yesterday and spent a pretty good amount of money on one item only. The husband said I can and so I did and I am happy. I got what I wanted without paying for my purchase. I wanted to shop some more but the stores at the mall we went to were on separate buildings so I decided on three shops and that was it. Besides, we have an infant with us so we could not spend longer periods of time outside. I did have a good time though and the kids were well behaved. I want another day like that. I have not done this in a long time that I am out of practice. Maybe one day in the next few weeks I will go shopping again, when the end of season sales starts.

new business

A friend started a business selling web hosting packages and domains. I am happy for her because I know she has been helping a lot of bloggers (including me) for a long time for free and she needs to earn from her work. She showed me her websites earlier and I am impressed. Both look elegant and professional. I asked her if she built both and she said no, that she bought one from a store but I think she customized it afterward. I wonder if she bought hers from a business website builder, I forgot to ask her when we talked. Anyway, I hope she will have success with her business. She deserves it. If I am as patient and as resourceful as her, I probably would do the things she is doing. But I am different, I am lazy so I rely on people like her for help and advice.
