old friends

We went to visit one of the husband's close friends the other day and we stayed in their house for a while to talk and for them to catch up on a lot of things (they have not seen each other in years). The couple were very nice, they made me feel welcome even if it was the first time they have seen me and the kids. They are raising their grandchildren and so the little man had kids to play with (the kids were a lot older) while we were there which made it a lot easier to keep track of him. He was allowed to use the older kids' computer and when they got tired of that they went outside to play. The kids had all kinds of toys like hunting rifles, four wheelers, and a lot more. I even glimpsed an area where there were archery targets lined up but I don't know whose it was. It could have been their grandfather's because he said something about it while him and the husband were talking. Their house was like a kid's playground complete with dogs. The little man liked it there that he did not want to go home when it was time to go. He only went when he was promised that we will go back to visit again and maybe go to a water park so he can play with his new friends again. I like it when we visit and both the husband and the little man enjoy it. We would like to do it often if it is not dependent on his health. But as long as we get to do it sometimes is all that matters.
