ever heard about audio books?

I love to read. I have proofs to show for it too, out there in the shed. Boxes of books that I accumulated since I got married that the husband doesn't like dragging from one place to another. Reading frees my mind from other problems or worries. I get involved with the story like I am one of the characters. It is like watching a movie only better. Not that I don't like watching movies, I do love movies as well. But in all the years that I read books I didn't know about audio books. I have only heard of it actually. And the way I understand it is, a person reads the story and it is put on tape so one has the option not to read the book anymore but to listen to the story being told. Kinda cool. I might try this and see if I will like it. Wonder how much it cost though. I will try to look online if there is anything interesting I will find. Maybe I will get lucky and I will find free audio books while at it. That way I don't have to pay for anything on my first try. What is the chance of that ever happening?

I tried audio books.Don't work for me at all.I like to curl up in my bed and read to my heart's content.i've never liked stuff being recited to me.
When you are reading you can re-read any of the parts you haven't quite grasped.Doing that in audio books is such a chore!

I haven't tried it yet so I don't know whether I will like it or not. We will see if somebody reading the story for me will work out good :)
